    Group exhibition with Björn Siebert

    Menetekel signifies ominous signs, often depicted ambiguously in art through unique color schemes, lighting, or unconventional figures. The group exhibition explores the suggestive power of painting and photography, while also highlighting how cultural practices subtly reference the eerie and unsettling aspects of existence.

    The work of Björn Siebert can be seen in the Hengesbach Gallery from 12 May to 5 June 2024.

    An Initiative of the Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann (April 14, 2024, to May 31, 2024) at Künstlergut Prösitz in collaboration with SKD (State Art Collections Dresden)

    Immersing in the sonic landscape of the A14 motorway, a collective of sound artists embarks on a creative journey, drawing inspiration from Rivka Rinn's video, "Accelerated Heavens." A group will respond to the noise of the A14 motorway with sound works, starting April 14. Among them Anna Schimkat who together with Christina Stark will discuss their work on April 24th at 5pm at Künstlergut Prösitz.

    The WGXC Afternoon show of Wave Farm Radio is hosting MACHT EUCH AUF DIE SOCKEN / TIMELESS MOVEMENT IN SOCKS on Saturday, April 20th, 4pm 90.7-FM in NY's Upper Hudson Valley and wgxc.org/listen everywhere - this event is in English.

    On Radio Corax you may listen to it at Ground Zero, Wednesday, April 24th, 2pm – 4pm - this event is in German.

    More broadcasts dates (including in August and September on Deutschlandradio Kultur) will be announced later.

  • BECOME AN INTERN AT THE ODP GALLERY

    ODP Gallery is looking for interns for a period of 6 weeks to 2 months between April and July.

    ODP Internship program is aimed at those who would like to learn about the functioning of the art gallery. Depending on the interests of the intern, we tailor the educational program that is carried out during our collaboration. During the internship, participants will have the opportunity to gain insight into, among other things, the basic elements of coordinating, creating and evaluating an art and culture project. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to learn about the programming of artistic events, the organization of art exhibitions, online publication work and administrative work. They will also have the opportunity to undertake exhibition supervision and create exhibition text and promotion.

    ODP Internship offers work experience, enrichment of knowledge in relation to Art and the possibility of permanent employment after the internship period.

    Essential requirements:
    - communicative use of English
    - interest and willingness to learn about the contemporary art world
    - independence, responsibility
    - ability to adapt and work as part of a team
    - communicativeness and openness to new contacts
    - student status preferred

  • 'Quarterly' premiere

    The first ODP gallery magazine will soon be available.

    In the first issue of Quarterly you will have the pleasure to read, among others, a text by Viktoria Sophie Conzelmann and an interview with Marta Pohlamann-Kryszkiewicz conducted by Hanna Tokaj. All this surrounded by meticulously selected works by the Artists. The Quarterly edition will be available in both physical form in the gallery and as a PDF download on the gallery website.

    Last chance to see Viktoria Sophie Conzelmann's first solo exhibition, 'NOT QUIET YET'!

    We cordially invite you to visit us on 08.12 and delve into the universe of 'NOT QUIET YET'!

    Upcoming Friday (08.12) will be the final day to get a glimpse of the artist's works and the art world she has built at the ODP Gallery. Conzelmann's works were created using organic, transitional and solid materials. Some of the featured works were inspired by the artist's garden, which gives them an intimate dimension.

    On the last day, the gallery will be open from 1 PM to 6 PM. Around 5 PM, the gallery will host the artist herself, who will be happy to deepen visitors' perspectives with her observations over a cup of warm tea. Throughout the day, Conzelmann's publication can also be found and purchased in the gallery space.

    Finissage on 18.12.2023 (5 PM) for the final commissioning of the installation, artist talk and catalogue presentation.

    As part of the fourth residency exhibition at the Kunstverein Meißen, Anna Schimkat's sound installation ELBWASSER - at the intersection of sculpture and sound - was on view. It emerged after several weeks of work and research.
